A Right-side Shoulder Win

I managed to strict press a 20 kg kettlebell on my right side for the first time ever, so I’ll class that as a win! (Especially after trying and failing a couple of days back.)

I later tried it with a 22 kg bell, but though I can push press it, nope on the strict press. 😀

Also, I watched the video from yesterday and saw that what I thought were 360s weren’t in fact 360s–I wasn’t doing them right.

So, this morning I spent a little time on pendulum swings to practice them today. (My wife’s classroom window proved to be a useful mirror.)

  • 15 minutes rope flow
  • Mace pendulum swing practice (4 kg)
  • Mace 360 practice (4 kg – 150+ reps)

Then, to get me up from my desk and to stretch my legs:

  • 0900: 16 kg kettlebell: 10 strict press right, 10 left.
  • 1030: 16 kg kettlebell: 10 strict press right, 10 left.
  • 1130: 18 kg kettlebell: 6 strict press right, 6 left.

OMAD lunch: 250g ribeye, 2 rashers of bacon, 6 duck eggs, 1/2 an avocado, and a no-sugar mayo mix with black pepper and English mustard:

Post-lunch walk:

  • 15 minutes walk
  • 1230: 20 kg kettlebell: 3 strict press right, 5 left.

Another refreshing start to the day, some microblocks during work, and yet another day getting Stronger After Sixty.
