Missed Alarm Clock, Rainy Mornings, and Lunchtime 360s
No early session after a missed alarm and a night of heavy rain, but 10 minutes of 6 kg steel mace 360s, plus some afternoon walking, made for a good day.
Rope Flow, 6 kg Mace, and Heavy Bag
A bright and early Saturday session with rope flow, 10 minutes of 6 kg mace 360s at 50 BPM, and three rounds on the heavy bag. Then coffee!
Rest Day (But the Mace was A-Calling…)
Moving after meals has become part of my routine, and today the steel mace got the nod, with 100 360s using the 6 kg mace.
Lung-busting Heavy Bag, Mace, and Rope Flow
Rope flow, mace 360s, heavy bag intervals and a first attempt at gada 10-to-2s, which proved to be a bit of a mess and means it's back to basics.
10 Minutes Mace (@ 24/25 rpm) & Ready for Mike Tyson
A 10-minute mace 360 session at 24/25 rpm, building towards longer sessions and eventually heavier maces, followed by a heavy bag upgrade and lunch.
Short Session to Start the Week…
A short start to the week after a 5 kg gada session went wrong, followed by a comparison with my 4 kg and 6 kg steel maces, lunch and a post-lunch walk.
“You’re only mean to blow the bloody doors off!”
A beautiful sunrise, rope flow, my first 10-minute mace 360 session, and a heavy bag that decided it had had enough after two rounds.
Wednesday, 9th September
A humid Wednesday morning session with rope flow, mace training, Bulgarian Bag squats and another attempt at a 20 kg strict press, followed by a loaded walk.
A Right-side Shoulder Win
A first-ever 20 kg strict press on my weaker right side, plus mace pendulum and 360 practice and more kettlebell pressing throughout the morning.
Monday Morning Shake-up
A Monday morning session with rope flow, 200 mace 360s and strict presses with a 16 kg kettlebell, followed by a 15-minute Bulgarian Bag walk.
