The Drunken Octopus Learns Mace 360s

After my attempts at 300s with the gada last week, I spent some time over the weekend going through the Flowing Dutchman’s Mace 360 course.

As someone with the coordination of a drunken octopus on speed and riding a skateboard with at least three wobbly wheels, it takes me a little longer than average to work out what has to go where (and when).

So, today was one of those days where you’ve just got to 1) get started and 2) put in the work, otherwise you’ll never get where you want to be.

I’m not making excuses here. It ain’t pretty, I hit myself on the arse more times than I’d like (but that is all part of being a beginner), it’s mostly arm-dominant, and given it was only 3.11 kg, I’m shocked at both how difficult it was and how badly I made it look.

Tomorrow will be better.

The day after that, as well, I’d imagine.

The key point here, though, is that if you don’t start, you’ll never get where you want to be.
